Not only does Cowley Road offer everything to fulfil your daily requirements (supermarkets, ATMs, pharmacy…) it offers an eclectic range of fantastic restaurants, bars, music venues and even an independent cinema. Read up on our local recommendations in the ‘Location’ section.

South Park – the largest park in Oxford with views of the historic spires and towers is down the road and includes a fun kids play area.

The historic Oxford City Centre and famous college grounds are a 15 minute scenic walk away over Magdalen Bridge (where you can see or go punting!) or, easily catch one of the many busses running from Cowley Road – 2 min walk, 5 min bus ride. Oxford is the land of the bikes with lots of wonderful cycle paths and there is a wall anchor outside the front of the property for guests to lock their bikes.

From St Clements (7 min walk) you can catch a 24/7 bus servicing London (OxfordTube) and surrounding airports.

Oxford Brookes Campus – 15 minute walk. Churchill Hospital – 19 min walk.

SELF CHECK IN
Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is before 11am.

Please note: You will be charged £100.00 for lost keys, broken keys and key call outs, so please be careful with them.
A charge will also be applied if guests check in early or check out late without permission or do not place the keys back in the key safe on their departure.

CLEANING/ LINEN
The property will be cleaned and prepared with linen and towels for your arrival. Mid-stay cleans are not included but please get in touch if you would like to pay to book a clean with fresh linen and towels during your stay.

Linen and bedding is not provided for the travel cot, please bring your own if required.

We provide a limited amount of consumables (toilet roll, travel size shampoo/conditioner etc.) to kick-start your stay and will recommend a local store where you can easily purchase more once you have settled in.

PARKING
Unfortunately there is no parking on premises, please check out ‘JustPark’ online for local, affordable options. There is also paid parking available at Union Street Car Park – only a few minutes walk away.

AMENITIES
The Smart TV offers on demand apps such as Netflix, iPlayer and more but please note, this is an online TV and does not offer regular TV channels. Netflix login details are provided.
– DeLonghi Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine available for use, coffee pods not included but can be purchased from a local store

FIREPLACE
The wood burner in the living room is available for use. If you do not regularly use a wood burning stove, please make sure you fully familiarise yourself with how to do so and do not leave the fire unattended. Clean burning fuel is not provided but can be easily purchased from a local store along with firelighters. More instructions and tips will be provided in our guest manual. Please be sure to clean up after use or you may incur an additional cleaning fee.
The fireplaces in the bedroom photos are not for use, decor only.

NECCESITIES
Cowley Road is lined with Supermarkets, Tesco Metro & Sainsbury’s are both within a 3 minute walk away. On Cowley Road you will also find everything you require; shops, ATMs, pharmacy (Boots). There is a lovely farmers’ market most Saturdays 10am-1pm in the primary school just behind the Tesco on Cowley Road.

PLACES TO EAT & DRINK
There is a huge choice of restaurants and bars along Cowley Road and also along St Clements street, which are both a few minutes walk from the house. Our Favourites: PanPan (Asian Street Food), Antep Kitchen (Turkish), and Za’atar Bake (Arabic Cuisine). Oli’s Thai (if you can get a table) and Spiced Roots (Caribbean) are both worth a visit. For an amazing steak platter or Sunday roast dinner, The Chester Arms will hit the spot. For drinks, BeAtOne is a great cocktail bar. For food and drinks check out The Big Society for a fun atmosphere with ping pong tables or Kazbar for Tapas! The Cape of Good Hope is a lively pub with food, quizzes, music and more.

THINGS TO DO, PLACES TO SEE
There are lots of parks and green areas nearby. South Park, just off Morrell Avenue is the largest park in Oxford, it has a great play area and offers lovely views of the city spires from its slopes. On Cowley Road: Independent cinema called Ultimate Picture Palace, O2 Academy (music venue).

OXFORD CITY CENTRE:
By foot: 15/20 minutes.
By bus: Bus stop 2 minute walk away on Cowley Road. The number ‘1’ and ‘5’ bus run regularly and will get you to the centre in approx. 5 minutes.
By car: 5 minute drive, a taxi will cost approx £5-£8 and we recommend Royal Cars taxi company.

FURTHER AFIELD:
St. Clements in under a 10 minute walk away and offers 24/7 busses servicing London and surrounding airports. Super easy and cheap! Check-out the ‘Oxford Tube’ and ‘The Airline’.

LOCAL:
Cowley Road: 2 minute walk.
Churchill Hospital: 19 min walk or catch the number 15 bus (3 min ride)
Oxford Brookes Campus: 15 min walk or catch the number 15 bus (1 min ride)
JR Hospital: 6 min drive

– Respect the neighbours by keeping the noise down, no noise after 10pm
– No shoes inside
– When leaving the property please make sure you lock the front door and windows and back door if applicable
– If a guest locks themselves out of the property OR they do not place keys in the lockbox at checkout, a £50 fee will apply
– If a guest loses or breaks a set of keys, a £100 fee will apply
– Please make sure rubbish instructions are followed correctly, including using correct bin bags and taking outside in time for rubbish collection day
– Kitchen – please wash up after yourself

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

    Great family accommodation in Oxford. Location, number of rooms. Lack of basic staples like sugar (for coffee), and enough dishwasher tabs for the length of our stay. Kitchen needs a pair of scissors. Location of fuse box should be included in property info as a circuit was tripped and it took some degree of hunting before restoring power. Heaters in bathrooms could not be turned off during hot summer days. An extra key to the flat should also be included. ... Read more Close

    Nice house, shame that we experienced significant plumbing problems that were not recognised by host. We were travelling for work at the Exam Centre, Oxford so the location was ideal. The house itself is well equipped, modern and is relatively quiet. The check-in process worked exceptionally well & access was straightforward. There are good facilities within easy walking distance.. Unfortunately we experienced some problems with two of the toilets which for a group of three females, caused some difficulties for us in getting ready in the mornings. The attic toilet ran constantly on the 2nd night keeping one of us awake as sounded like a flowing river. We contacted the host in the morning and it took several attempts before someone called us back so not quite 24hr service advertised. Unfortunately the person who was sent to fix the toilet, thought it was the middle floor toilet and worked on this toilet instead, putting it out of action. This then left us with only one working toilet from 3! This caused us problems in the morning as we needed to leave for work at 7am. The host hasn't really appreciated the impact this created and offered £30 in compensation, (which has not even been forthcoming!) stating that they would have moved us. Working 18hr days, this wasn't an option and all we were looking for was reasonable compensation for the inconvenience caused. In future, we are more likely to choose a hotel - perhaps if on holiday, this wouldn't have been an issue. Clearly there have been problems in the house before with the toilets, as there is significant ingress on the ceilings under the attic bathroom and there is a mop supplied in the middle floor toilet as the shower water goes everywhere! ...     Enjoyable, spacious, relaxing. Space, the kitchen and nice eating area was a sociable space , really liked the bathroom and that there was a toilet on each floor. Side lighting was good especially for children at night.. No dishwasher tablets had to buy our own, the cot x2, high chair and the airer were all left out . Not enough cutlery ie knives, forks, plates nor extra things in the cupboard like basic sugar, coffee etc could have had a tv in the rooms all of which we have had when staying at other airbnbs No place to put clothes in the 2nd bedroom where the cot was, the draw bedside door (nearest to the door) was broken and almost fell on our foot. Something to be aware off that you may not have known. There was a wardrobe but it was stuffed with bedding so we didn’t use it and kept our things in the suitcase as only there for 2 nights. Parking was an issue but we did park a 15 min walk away for £12 for both days which was reasonable ... Read more Close
